924(c) Overturned so WHY is Scott still in prison?

On April 18, 2016 the Supreme Court decided on a case that overturned the 924(c) mandatory minimum sentencing.

For the past several years, Scott has been serving time on this charge alone. Now that this mandatory minimum cannot be applied to a new criminal case, ALL inmates should be released if they are serving time on this charge.

The Third District Federal Court is very secretive on their plans to release people who are on this list. Since there seems to have been no movement on ending Scott’s imprisonment I have decided to post this to let others know.

There is no excuse for keeping Scott or any other person in prison when the law says time served!
